Weyland-Yutani Tanker

One of my favorite images from a 2014 project. It's basically a VTOL space tanker with a "tractor" ship that pushes it. Inspiration for the low-tech asteroid deflectors up front came from icebreaker ships. Being a product designer, I tried to fuse as much real-world and projected tech with the universe of the Alien films (thus Weyland-Yutani Corp for the brand). I used Photoshop over a 3D model, and if I remember right, I was using this to still figure a couple of things out before I changed them in the model...? I eventually printed this sucker out and made a model about 22 inches in length.
